Her Story
About Lynnette
Lynnette "Paris" Johnson is the Founder and Lead Designer of Forever by Paris, an experiential design studio based in Covington, Georgia, that turns ordinary spaces into memorable environments through art, floral design, and immersive installations. A self-taught artist with a high school education, she entered the field in 2020 and specializes in sustainable art, including wood flower painting and arrangements. Her creations are available for purchase through foreverbyparis.com, and she is an active member of the Durham Art Guild and Creative City.
Johnson's background spans stage design, event production, and custom installations, with projects ranging from theatrical and fashion productions to retail displays, interior styling, and large-scale floral installations. She first earned recognition for sculptural works crafted from reclaimed and unconventional materials, such as chandeliers, floral sculptures, and mixed-media pieces, and that foundation still shapes her approach today. For four consecutive years she served as Executive Producer of the Urban Fashion Awards, an experience that deepened her understanding of how visual design influences the way people feel in a space. Every project begins with one guiding question: how should people feel when they experience this space?
Beyond her studio, Johnson is dedicated to giving back. She is organizing the Reflection Gala, a fundraiser benefiting NAMI, and has spent two years supporting Family First, an organization that aids homeless shelters in North Carolina. Her perseverance through an abusive relationship and homelessness reflects the consistency she credits for her success, and she is devoted to her family, particularly her three grandchildren, while championing fellow artists and women in pursuit of their dreams. In addition to her creative work, she works in security.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Lynnette
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to consistency, no matter what. Even after coming through an abusive relationship and homelessness, I have continued to show up for my business and keep creating my flowers.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
A billionaire once told me never to think small and always to think big, because nothing is impossible and you can touch your goals if you try. That advice taught me to keep going no matter what and never to let myself be the one who says no to my own dreams.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Think outside the box. Never believe that your ideas are crazy or that your dream is too big or too far out there. Always allow yourself to think beyond the ordinary.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge I face is maintaining consistency while dealing with personal hardships, such as an abusive relationship and homelessness, and still showing up for my business.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Professionally, consistency is the key. Personally, family matters most to me, especially my three grandchildren. I am also committed to supporting other artists and women in pursuing their dreams, and I value mental wellness, which is what led me to art.
