Lyssa Love is a communications and engagement strategist with a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. She specializes in translating complex organizational systems, data, and strategy into clear, engaging messaging that drives alignment and engagement. Currently at Greenfield Savings Bank, Lyssa manages internal communications, develops training resources, and supports cross-functional initiatives, bringing a data-informed, systems-minded approach to every project she undertakes.

Before transitioning to communications, Lyssa spent a decade in human services as a bachelor’s-level clinician, working with children and families to support behavior management and early developmental milestones. Her experience in play-based teaching, sensory interventions, and coping skills has informed her collaborative and empathetic approach to organizational communications and employee engagement. Lyssa’s career reflects a unique blend of analytical rigor, strategic storytelling, and a deep commitment to fostering inclusive and effective workplace cultures.

A first-generation college graduate, Lyssa has overcome significant personal challenges, including homelessness and the loss of her mother during her undergraduate studies. She is passionate about DEI initiatives, founding the LGBTQ Employee Resource Group at Greenfield Savings Bank, serving on the DEI committee, and leading employee engagement programs. Outside of work, she volunteers at local Pride events, and her personal and professional journey reflects resilience, advocacy, and a dedication to using her voice to uplift communities.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that perception is reality. I’ve learned that how others perceive your actions, decisions, and professionalism can shape opportunities, relationships, and your overall impact—so it’s important to be intentional about how you present yourself and the value you bring.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to not be afraid to take up space. Speak up, share your ideas, and confidently claim your place at the table—your perspective and contributions are valuable and deserve to be seen and heard.

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are communication and community. I prioritize open, honest, and thoughtful communication in all interactions, and I deeply value fostering a sense of connection and collaboration with those around me. These principles guide how I approach every project, relationship, and decision.
