Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mabel

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think that my drive is really just trying to create impact in the way that I can. My commitment is to empower others, and it extends beyond the classroom. I want to impact in various ways in communications, PR, education, and tech, and help younger learners develop confidence, whether in a new language or whatever field or career path they've decided to pursue. It's about encouraging them and reminding them that they are absolutely capable of doing anything they set their mind to do. It's literally just to expand my impact in the small places I find myself.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice has to be stay hungry. Stay hungry, never stop learning. You have to be a lifelong learner. It's not okay for you to be fine with what you have learned already, so be very open-minded to unlearn, relearn, and create some impact wherever you find yourself. Create impact even from a small place. You don't have to wait for a big platform before you create impact.
