Macarena Aldao is a hospitality professional with 7 years of experience. Originally from Argentina and now living in the US, she holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. She began her career with a one-year internship at a resort in Colorado, then progressed from front desk agent to supervisor within three months and front desk manager within a year. Eight months ago, she started her current role as Director of Front Office at a resort in Lexington, Kentucky, where she focuses on guest services and guest interaction. She is passionate about building strong teams and attributes her success to a willingness to keep growing, ambition, perseverance, and patience. The best career advice she received is to come to a supervisor with a solution rather than just a problem.

01What do you attribute your success to?
The willingness of wanting to keep growing. I feel like the more you want to grow, the more successful you'll be. If you want to grow, you'll get it done. And you'll make it happen. Being ambitious about it, yeah. Perseverance, for sure. Patience.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you have a problem, come to me with a solution. That's something one of my bosses said to me. I don't want to hear the problem, I want to hear the solution. That made me, like, don't hesitate, get it done. And then come to me, tell me the story, but have the solution for me.
