Her Story

About Macie

Macie Snowden is the Central Regional Director of Scarlet Hope, where she oversees all operations of Scarlet Hope Dallas and directs six additional cities in the central region. Her responsibilities include managing outreach programs that connect women and potential victims of trafficking to community resources, local churches, and spiritual mentors, as well as leading city directors on personal, professional, and financial goals while handling HR procedures, case management, volunteer coordination, event planning, and occasional speaking at fundraisers. Snowden came to the role in July 2024 after working in wedding sales and previously serving in ministry at a church following a seminary program. She earned a degree in organizational communication and a minor in organizational leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma, completed the Watermark Institute Bible program, and interned at a school in Belmopan, Belize. Snowden is actively involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and supports the Noble nonprofit based in Fort Worth, Texas. A notable professional achievement includes securing an NBA player as one of Scarlet Hope's largest donors through awareness and fundraising efforts. She credits founder Rochelle Starr as a key mentor and advises young women entering the field to remain flexible, keep the mission central, and build supportive relationships.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be prepared to wear a lot of hats and be flexible. You're gonna have to sacrifice things but it's all worth it as long as you keep the main thing the main thing and pursue the mission. Don't get bogged down by the noise or the brokenness in the world. What you're doing matters and is making a difference. Keep powering through and make sure you have people in your life that can lift you up.
