Mackenzie Campbell
Mackenzie Campbell is the Manager of Sales Development at Mansfield Energy Corp, where she leads a team focused on driving growth and expanding the company’s presence in the downstream fuel distribution market. Having been in the energy field for 11 years, Mackenzie describes the industry as “in her DNA”—her father worked for a similar company, and she grew up around the business. What started as a part-time role while finishing college evolved into a lifelong career. Today, she manages Mansfield’s entry-to-industry sales team, mentoring individuals who are new to energy sales, whether fresh out of school or transitioning from other careers.
Before joining Mansfield Energy, Mackenzie spent six years managing a sales team at a smaller fuel distribution company, where she developed her expertise in account management, business development, and team leadership. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in sales at Pilot Thomas Logistics and in international marketing with the Nevada Department of Agriculture, honing skills in market research, brand development, and public engagement. This broad experience has given her a deep understanding of both the operational and human sides of the energy business.
Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Management, Marketing, and Communications from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she served as President of the Undergraduate Research Club and was active in the Nevada FFA Association and Collegiate FFA. Passionate about mentoring and empowering others, she takes great pride in supporting her team, celebrating their “aha” moments, and influencing their growth and success. Through her leadership, Mackenzie fosters a culture of collaboration, intentionality, and continuous learning, while advocating for community building and the advancement of women in the energy sector.

What do you attribute your success to?
I think the key factor is just never giving up. Like you said, it's very difficult. Any industry is very difficult, but I feel like a male-dominated industry is even more difficult, because oftentimes you're the only person in the room. And feeling alone and isolated can be difficult, and so just persevering, you know, being the subject matter expert, pushing through, like, that resilience, I feel like that's what's really gotten me ahead in my career. The energy field is a male-dominated industry, and there were times when I struggled to figure things out myself because I didn't feel like I had that colleague or mentor or just anyone in my corner that I trusted and didn't look down on me for asking questions. But I kept going, became a subject matter expert, and that perseverance is what made the difference.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It would be to find your circle early. I think that growing up in the industry, I kind of had some allies because I grew up in it. But it wasn't until much later in my career, and even recently, that I had a circle of allies that were supporting me in rooms that I wasn't in, that always had my back or really trusted my subject matter advice. And I think that there were times in my career where I just struggled to figure things out myself, because I didn't feel like I had that colleague or mentor or just anyone in my corner that I trusted and didn't look down on me for asking questions. So find those people early, the ones who will be your allies in rooms you're not in.
