About Maddie
Maddie Coyne serves as Account Manager for Premium Experience with the Chicago Fire in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Denison University with a major in communication in 2021 and earned her master's in sports management from Boston College in 2023. Since entering the professional sports industry in 2023, Coyne has worked with the Red Sox for two seasons before joining the Chicago Fire, where she advanced from core-level account executive to her current premium role. Her background as a collegiate athlete at Denison fueled her passion for sports hospitality, leading her to excel in client service, relationship building, and sales. She has been recognized with the uncompromising integrity award and spearheaded the women's ERG at the Chicago Fire in collaboration with the DEI Council.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I went in trying to have a plan locked and loaded with a very specific idea of what I wanted to achieve. My best piece of advice is just not to pigeonhole yourself. Your career could take you up, down, east, west, you have no idea, and it's so important that you follow the opportunities as they present themselves. Never in a million years did I think I was going to live in Chicago. Just follow the opportunities as they come. By no means do I think you need grad school to break into the sports industry, but if that's something you're looking to pursue, get in early. Work in the athletic department, get familiar with that working environment. Those people can be mentors for the rest of your life.
