The best career advice I’ve received is to prioritize my physical and mental well-being. Because my work is physically demanding, I make time for stretching, exercise, massage, and staying fit so I can perform at my best. Taking care of my health is essential to sustaining a successful career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to genuinely enjoy working with and helping people. Compassion, patience, and a sincere love for others are essential. If you care about people and find fulfillment in supporting them, you can build a meaningful and lasting career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are many opportunities for growth in cardiac sonography, with different levels of specialization, from transthoracic echocardiography to transesophageal echocardiography and advanced structural and surgical procedures. For those interested in leadership or management, I recommend pursuing a bachelor’s degree early to create more opportunities for advancement.
