Madeline Roosevelt-Defuria is an entrepreneur, financial wellness educator, and beauty professional dedicated to helping women, particularly mothers, create financial security and build lives rooted in purpose and abundance. As the founder of Soft Wealth Society, Her Networth Matters, and Sunday Mom Social, she empowers women to develop healthier relationships with money, launch and grow online businesses, and embrace sustainable wealth-building strategies. Her mission centers on replacing financial stress with confidence by equipping women with practical education, supportive communities, and systems that promote long-term success.
Alongside her work in financial education, Madeline has built an accomplished career spanning more than 20 years in the beauty industry. A professionally licensed hair, skin, and nails specialist and graduate of Beau Monde College of Hair Design, she has worked extensively as a freelance hair and makeup artist for weddings, magazines, commercial productions, and corporate professionals. Her artistry has been featured in publications including Glamour, W Magazine, Digital Photographer, Seattle Met, Portland Monthly, ESPN, and Cliché Magazine. Her excellence in the industry was recognized with the prestigious Portland Style Awards Artist of the Year. She also serves families as a licensed insurance agent, helping them navigate life, health, and Medicare coverage while advocating for financial preparedness and peace of mind.
Beyond her professional achievements, Madeline is a passionate community leader, mentor, and advocate for women's empowerment. She serves as an ambassador for the Women's Leadership Alliance, has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations, and previously founded a thriving support network for single mothers in Portland. Drawing inspiration from mentors Sarah Centrella, Shamina Taylor, and Elsa Morgan, she believes in leading with trust, consistency, and compassion. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my grit and determination. I believe that staying resilient, working hard, and remaining committed to my goals have enabled me to overcome challenges and consistently achieve positive results in my work.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay consistent, no matter how difficult the journey becomes. Challenges are inevitable, but success comes from showing up, putting in the effort every day, and refusing to give up. Consistency is what turns hard work into lasting results.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find a mentor who has already achieved what you aspire to accomplish. Their guidance can help you grow faster, avoid common mistakes, and make your career journey much easier.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field is finding the balance to do it all with limited time. At the same time, the greatest opportunity is meeting new people, hearing their stories, and helping them feel confident and beautiful.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are trust, empathy, and being a good listener. I believe in meeting people where they are, understanding their unique journey, and treating everyone with compassion and without judgment.
