Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Organization and attention to detail, mentors who taught me key marketing skills (notably in graphic design and strategy), the work ethic and support of her parents, loyal long-term clients, and her journey as an athlete.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from a combination of mentors and family influences. My former coworker, Nick Swenston, helped me develop and refine my graphic design skills, while my mother shaped the way I approach leadership—with thoughtfulness, patience, and quiet confidence. I am also deeply grateful to my parents for encouraging me to take the leap into entrepreneurship and supporting me through the early stages of building my business, providing both guidance and the reassurance I needed to grow professionally and personally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Start now; try things out without necessarily quitting your job; use the "fake it till you make it" mentality to build confidence; follow a passion that won't bore you in 10 years; prioritize balance.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Biggest challenges: fear and imposter syndrome when launching a business and handling startup/admin tasks. Biggest opportunities: social media's growth as a selling platform, expanding services and hiring to scale, and building local name recognition in Kansas City.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Work-life balance, creativity, hard work, attention to detail, and calm, confident leadership.
