About Madelyn

Madelyn Wilson is a passionate and purpose-driven criminal justice professional, currently pursuing her Master’s in Criminology with a concentration in crime analysis at the University of Colorado Denver. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in pre-healthcare from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Madelyn brings a unique combination of academic insight and hands-on experience to her work, driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals navigating mental health, substance use, and criminal justice challenges.

Over the past several years, Madelyn has built meaningful experience in recovery and criminal justice services. She currently serves as a Case Manager at Avenues Recovery Center, where she advocates for clients, facilitates comprehensive discharge planning, and ensures access to critical resources such as housing, legal aid, and vocational support. Her previous roles at The GEO Group, Inc. and Highlands Behavioral Health System further honed her skills in client advocacy, program development, and trauma-informed care, solidifying her expertise in dual diagnosis and reentry support programs.

Madelyn’s professional accomplishments reflect her dedication to innovation and equity in care. She developed a dual diagnosis program for men at a halfway house and created a comprehensive 3–6 month curriculum for dual diagnosis clients in community corrections. Certified in Legal Investigation and Trauma-Informed Care, she also actively contributes to the broader recovery community, including being featured in a Soulful Recovery blog highlighting her impact. Outside of work, Madelyn enjoys softball, reading, and traveling, balancing her professional dedication with personal growth and community engagement.
