About Madhavi
Madhavi Chandra serves as Chief Product and Strategy Officer in the Business Intelligence and AI field. She joined her current company in 2014, advancing to her present role in May 2023. Her educational background includes a master's degree and PhD in Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, along with an undergraduate degree in the same field. In addition to her industry work, she has taught as an adjunct professor at a local university for approximately 14 years, drawing from her experiences in a male-dominated engineering environment during her graduate studies.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family and parents and how they raised us, showing what real value in life is. The foundation has to be solid. I define wealth and success by the people around me and positive energy. Having a North Star, knowing my own goals, surrounding myself with good people, and earning respect from coworkers and customers so I can lead with confidence.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is how quickly AI has come onto the world and how to bring AI responsibly to customers, with data governance, security, controls over data exfiltration, and keeping humans in the loop. We are well positioned because we already had foundational data governance.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My family and my boys have been a defining part of my life. I will not choose a conference over something for my children. I made decisions that kept my North Star in mind and prioritized balance so I could thrive both personally and professionally.
