Her Interview
Ten minutes with Madhuri
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think two things. I'm extremely hardworking, I prepare obsessively, and I really try to amplify the good I see in my team, as opposed to wearing them down by pointing out the mistakes. Everybody has strengths, and when you amplify those strengths, you just get a fantastic team.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You always want to remember that they bring a perspective that others don't have, and it adds a lot of value. Just make sure that your point of view is heard. Listen and learn from the people around you, but never lower your worries. Don't hold back your opinion. Have an opinion, state it. Make a place for yourself and lean in. Make yourself be heard.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Excellence isn't really defined by your title, but really the passion and the perfection you bring to a task. Learn anything you can, anywhere you can, and from anyone you can. Stand up for what you believe is the truth, even when it gets very hard to do it.
