Madison Maguregui

I'm currently a junior at Vandergrift High School in Austin, Texas, and I've been strategically building my path toward a career in corporate litigation. Since my freshman year, I've been taking business-oriented classes including accounting, principles of business, marketing, and finance to build a strong foundation. I founded the lawyer club at Vandergrift at the beginning of this year, and we've grown to 33 members. Through the club, I've been successful in providing internship opportunities for our members and bringing in guest speakers at every meeting to talk about what their career in law looks like and how they started. This July, I'm starting a paid 4-week internship at a personal injury firm located here in Austin, PLLC, which is an all-women-owned firm. During the internship from July 6th to the 31st, I'll be working on cases alongside people ranging from high school students to law school students, with head attorneys who are already in law school leading the cases. I'm super excited about this opportunity because it's going to get me in that law setting super early and fits perfectly with my goals of working in corporate litigation when I'm older.
