About Magdalena
Magdalena Wojcik is a clinical education specialist at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, where she supports the advancement of orthopedic and spine care through comprehensive education and hands-on training programs for healthcare professionals. Based in the Greater Chicago Area, she collaborates with surgeons, clinical teams, and industry partners to coordinate educational initiatives, manage training logistics, and ensure access to the latest surgical technologies. Her expertise in biology, human anatomy, and medical education enables her to help deliver impactful learning experiences that promote excellence in patient care.
Wojcik's career in the medical device industry began while she was still in college, giving her an early foundation in healthcare and customer engagement. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science: Biology from Concordia University Chicago in 2015, she built extensive experience in laboratory operations and surgeon education. She spent more than six years with the North American Spine Society, progressing from Laboratory Technician to SERC Laboratory Manager and later SERC Manager, where she oversaw bioskills laboratories and supported advanced surgical training programs. She later joined Johnson & Johnson MedTech through a contract role before becoming a direct employee and advancing to Clinical Education Specialist.
Throughout her career, Wojcik has remained committed to continuous learning, operational excellence, and supporting innovation in orthopedic surgery. She is recognized for her attention to detail, collaborative approach, and dedication to creating high-quality educational experiences that help surgeons develop new skills and confidently adopt emerging technologies. Inspired by the perseverance of her parents, who immigrated to the United States from Europe, she values honesty, hard work, and service to others. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she supports charitable initiatives, including St. Jude fundraising events and community volunteer efforts.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents. Their sacrifices and unwavering work ethic made my education and career possible. They immigrated to the United States from Europe when I was nine years old, and their resilience, determination, and commitment to creating a better future continue to inspire me every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to never give up and never stop caring. There are times when caring deeply can feel overwhelming, but maintaining compassion, commitment, and perseverance is what ultimately leads to meaningful work and long-term success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't give up. Even though this industry is heavily populated by men. Be strong and find your own path because there is more than one way to do one thing.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I don't see the current landscape as presenting major challenges so much as opportunities for continuous learning. The key is to stay committed to your education by reading industry literature, researching online, watching educational videos, and leveraging AI tools. With the wealth of resources available today, those who remain curious, open-minded, and committed to lifelong learning are well positioned to grow and succeed.

Being basically honest with yourself and with other people. If you do not know something, just say it, I do not know something, and I will get back to you.
