Her Story
About Mahi
I'm in my fourth semester at Middlesex College, where I'm studying mechanical engineering with plans to eventually major in mechanical and minor in electrical engineering when I transfer. My goal is to go into robotics engineering, specifically robotics for rehabilitation to help people physically. I work as a manager and martial arts instructor at a karate dojo, where I manage the dojo, bring in new students, and teach students of all ages. I also serve as a teaching assistant and tutor for the engineering department at my college, where I tutor around 20 students at a time and assist professors with classes of 30-35 students, helping explain concepts. I feel like I've gotten really lucky with my jobs and I definitely enjoy what I do. This summer, I'm helping TA an engineering course at Princeton, which is like a dream for me. I organize free self-defense classes at my dojo for women who've been through tough situations, trying to do my best to help people out.
