Her Story
About Maia
Maia Borus serves as the Global Operations Lead for OCX, a role she has held for a little over a year. She has been in the advertising industry for 24 years, initially working on the agency side before moving into decoupled production at agencies such as Hogarth and Publicis, and now Omnicom. Over the last 15 years she has concentrated on production, and for the past 10 years her focus has been in operations, where she develops processes, ways of working, and onboarding for specific accounts while emphasizing problem-solving and global coordination. Borus values honesty, directness without offense, a sense of humor, understanding, and flexibility in both her professional and personal life. She credits her success to her parents, strong Black role models who demonstrated success in the workplace. She advises young women entering the industry to be themselves, be patient, and take time to sit in the moment. Borus is involved in philanthropic efforts with City Harvest and the Jewish Federation.
