Her Interview
Ten minutes with Maite
01What do you attribute your success to?
My family is Christian so faith has played a really big component. My dad is very driven and I've always had him as an example. I have something in me that if I want something I will make it happen. I believe in creating your own opportunities. A big part is also having a good partner who supports you no matter what.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Create your own opportunities. Don't pay attention to noise in the system from people saying you're not good enough. If it doesn't work out the first time it doesn't mean it won't work out the second time. Just remember that somebody came before you so you can do it too.
