Mallika Venkatramani

Mallika Venkatramani serves as a genetic counselor, a role she has held for two years. Her path to this position began with an undergraduate major in genetics, followed by work as an assistant supporting genetic counselors, which allowed her to eventually become one herself. In her daily work, Mallika focuses on patient care by helping individuals understand their genetic risks for cancer and take steps toward prevention. She also participates in community events to educate high school and college students about the field of genetic counseling and attends cancer awareness events, particularly for pancreatic and breast cancer. Mallika maintains professional memberships in the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the American Society of Human Genetics.
