Malyssa Hinds is a Senior Manager of Game Performance & Analytics at Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, where she leads analytical initiatives that help casino operators and gaming suppliers understand product performance and market trends across North America and international markets. With more than a decade of experience in the gaming industry, she specializes in data analytics, slot performance evaluation, project management, and operational strategy. Her work supports industry-leading reports that provide actionable insights into both land-based and online gaming markets.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Boise State University, Malyssa entered the casino industry in 2015 and quickly discovered a passion for data-driven decision-making. She built her expertise through progressive roles in casino operations and analytics, including positions with Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort and MGM Resorts International, before joining Eilers & Krejcik Gaming. Her career reflects a consistent track record of transforming complex gaming data into meaningful business intelligence and operational improvements.
Today, Malyssa oversees report production, database integrity, team management, and process improvement initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy across global gaming analytics programs. Drawing on her background in international business, she works with gaming performance data from markets around the world, helping operators identify trends and make informed strategic decisions. She is recognized for her analytical rigor, attention to detail, and commitment to advancing data-driven innovation within the gaming industry.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to learning how the entire business connects together rather than just keeping my head down and focusing on my current tasks. The greatest piece of advice I've received is to seek out how the entire process works to give myself a better understanding, which has also led to better opportunities for me. I've made it a priority to understand not just my role, but how everything fits together across the organization, and that broader perspective has been key to my advancement, including my recent promotion to senior manager where I now lead a team.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to learn how the entire business connects together, rather than just keeping your head down and focusing only on your current tasks. I was told to seek out how the entire process works to give myself a better understanding of the organization as a whole. This approach has not only deepened my knowledge but has also led to better opportunities throughout my career. Understanding the bigger picture and how all the pieces fit together has been invaluable to my professional growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The most important piece of advice I could give to young professionals entering this field is to know your worth. Sometimes you'll be given responsibilities on a regular basis that don't match your title, but you deserve respect and to have your hard work valued. Don't wait for that to be recognized - you should ask for the recognition that you deserve. It's critical to speak up and advocate for yourself rather than hoping others will notice your contributions.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is online gaming regulation. As things are tied up in the courts, we're waiting for more jurisdictions to be able to have online gaming approved. This is really an industry-wide challenge rather than something specific to my position. Once these regulatory hurdles are cleared, it would provide a lot more opportunity for our business to expand, so there's significant growth potential on the horizon if and when these legal issues get resolved.
