Manaswini Dixit is a graduate student at NYU Wagner with a focus on public administration, bringing over three years of experience in policy research, advocacy, and community development. She has successfully driven initiatives addressing housing, hunger, and equity, leveraging skills in grant writing, data analysis, and project management to create measurable social impact. Her professional expertise includes securing funding, cultivating strategic partnerships, and managing diverse programs aimed at delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for underserved populations.

Prior to NYU, Manaswini earned her degree in Political Science with a minor in Innovation from Florida State University, where she engaged in leadership roles such as Finance Director for Legal Student Service and Fundraising Director for the student government party Surge. She has also served as a transfer instructor at FSU, guiding students in professional development and campus involvement, and worked with the Florida VISTA Network supporting grant and program management. Her hands-on experience spans internships with PIRG and The Borgen Project, focusing on homelessness policy, lobbying, and poverty-reduction initiatives.

Manaswini is deeply committed to community empowerment, volunteering as an English tutor for Ukrainian refugees and engaging in advocacy to promote equitable policy reform. Her approach combines cross-functional collaboration, strategic insight, and a dedication to mentorship, ensuring that projects not only succeed but also advance meaningful change. Through her work, she seeks to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation of social impact leaders.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my dedication to community development and my hands-on experience supporting programs and teams like the A|FVN AmeriTeam. My father, Vin Dixit, has been an incredible mentor throughout my journey, guiding me with wisdom and encouragement. Being part of Communalist LLC has also allowed me to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in the communities I serve.

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are passion, purpose, and community. I strive to cultivate a sense of belonging and acceptance wherever I am, whether through my work with NASPA, writing, or mentoring others. Guided by my family and my mentors, and informed by my experience as a Certified Human Rights Consultant, I stay committed to making meaningful contributions while nurturing my love for reading, dancing, and tennis.
