Ten minutes with Mandy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work and dedication. I believe that staying committed to my goals, putting in consistent effort, and remaining focused have been key to achieving success in my career and personal life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that what we do is not defined by the title we hold. Titles may describe our roles, but they don’t define our impact or the values we represent. What truly matters is what we stand for, what we are willing to advocate for, and how we carry ourselves. Ultimately, those are the things people will remember.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to know your worth and never sell yourself short. Believe in your abilities, recognize the value you bring, and have the confidence to advocate for yourself and your contributions.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see tremendous opportunities in my field, with career paths ranging from estimating and contract work to sales, account management, and leadership. The road is wide open for those willing to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. At the same time, working in a traditionally male-dominated industry can be challenging, so it’s important to stand up for yourself, have confidence in your abilities, and be willing to make your voice heard.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are centered around my priorities: God first, family second, and work third. I believe keeping these priorities in the right order helps me stay grounded, focused, and intentional in both my personal and professional life.
