I have an incredible support system. My family has always supported me through everything that I do, and my company truly values me and what I contribute. I have also had some really incredible mentors that have helped me further develop my skills.

My dad told me the easiest way to be successful is to do what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone would be to be proactive. Opportunities aren’t just going to drop in your lap. You have to go out there and get it. A great way to get started in being proactive is to take advantage of the opportunities we already have and just start saying yes. Say yes to everything. Any training opportunities, additional responsibilities, mentorships, networking groups, volunteer moments, etc. All of them will bring some type of value to your life and, will help get your name out there.

In the hospitality industry, competition is tough! They are constantly building brand new beautiful hotels, and we are having to compete directly with them for all the same pieces of business. For us, it comes down to who can respond the fastest, offer the most aggressive pricing, and the best customer service.

Family first always. I try to practice this with my own work-life balance, and I also preach that to my employees. I think that really helps build trust with employees as well.
