Mansi Dhaval Bhatt
Mansi Bhatt is a Product Designer who combines user-centric thinking with rigorous research and analytical problem-solving to create intuitive digital experiences. Her passion for design began with writing and illustrating a children’s book, which led her to realize the impact thoughtful design has on people’s everyday interactions. Drawing on her background in research at the School of Medicine, University of North Dakota, she applies both qualitative and quantitative methods to inform design decisions that improve usability and satisfaction.
Beyond her design practice, Mansi is deeply committed to service, volunteering as a teacher and parenthood moderator at BAPS and as a bhajan teacher for a nonprofit organization, where she focuses on helping individuals bridge the gap between their current self and their untapped potential.
Outside of design and community work, she enjoys reading to children, creating arts and crafts, and dancing to keep her creativity energized.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to inquisitiveness, consistency, resilience, and the people who believed in me. Inquisitiveness pushed me beyond my comfort zone—from microbiology into product design—while consistency helped me keep learning even when the path wasn’t clear. Most importantly, mentorship and community reminded me that growth doesn’t happen alone. I made a conscious decision to prioritize my own development, and that commitment—showing up with discipline day after day, year after year—has shaped who I am and how I continue to grow.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was: ‘Become the person who can do what others can’t.’ This guidance inspired me to embrace challenges, invest in my own growth, and continuously push beyond my comfort zone—helping me transition from microbiology into product design and approach every project with purpose. There was a time when I felt uncertain and didn’t know where to start; during that period, my children inspired me to write a children’s book, which sparked my journey into creative problem-solving and design.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Most people remain replaceable and invisible in their careers because they focus on external circumstances rather than taking full responsibility for increasing their own value through disciplined learning and skill development. By intentionally investing in yourself and continuously becoming a more capable version of who you can be, you position yourself to make meaningful impact and create opportunities that make you undeniable in your field.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, the biggest shifts in UX/UI and Product Design are driven by AI, tougher business expectations, and a rapidly evolving job market. AI is automating a lot of execution work, which reduces the need for designers who only produce screens, but it opens powerful opportunities for those who can frame the right problems, guide AI, and judge solutions through the lenses of ethics, usability, and impact.
The job market is more competitive, especially at the junior level, but there is growing opportunity for designers who think in systems—across journeys, platforms, and AI-driven experiences—rather than isolated interfaces. As products become more conversational and intelligent, the most impactful designers will be those who can make these complex, AI-native experiences feel trustworthy, transparent, and human-centered.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I’m guided by a set of core values that shape both my work as a product designer and my personal life.
I embrace uncertainty and thrive in ambiguous spaces, bringing clarity and structure to open-ended challenges. Adaptability allows me to stay flexible as priorities and needs evolve, while resilience helps me learn from feedback and iteration to continuously improve. Collaboration and diverse perspectives drive the best outcomes, and I anchor everything in integrity and honesty, advocating for ethical, inclusive design and transparent communication.
Beyond work, mindfulness keeps me present and intentional in my actions, and honesty guides how I show up in all relationships. I value building meaningful connections, contributing to my community through service, and living in alignment with a higher purpose, seeking to create lasting, positive impact.
