Mara Colleli serves as Market Manager for Brand and Field at Capsa Healthcare, a company in the healthcare manufacturing and engineering space. She manages how the company communicates internally and how it is viewed externally through marketing channels such as trade shows, social media, and other public-facing initiatives. Colleli previously planned to become an art teacher before transitioning into marketing.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I honestly attribute a lot of my drive and my success to my parents. Growing up, we didn't really have a lot of money, but my parents sent both me and my brother to private Catholic school, and my dad picked up a second job. My way of giving back and my gratitude towards all of their hard work was to work really hard, not only in school, but in my professional life, to show that I am grateful for the sacrifice that they made and continue to make.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My biggest piece of advice is just to keep going. Society or the world in general is... women are kind of at the bottom tier of a lot of things, and it might seem harder to get your foot in the door and make yourself known, but if you just keep trying... no is not the worst answer in the world... just to keep going, keep your head up, and something will... your dream job is waiting for you at the end of that... at the light of the tunnel... And that really, you can put... you can do anything that you put your mind to. You're a lot stronger than what the world says you are.
