Her Interview

Ten minutes with Marcela

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, dedication, and, above all, integrity. While standing by my principles has sometimes come with challenges, I have never regretted it because integrity has been a foundation of my success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I have received career advice in the past that I ultimately learned not to follow. Those experiences taught me the importance of taking responsibility, thinking independently, and developing my own principles rather than relying on advice that conflicts with my values.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Know your audience, build a strong network, and seek out mentors who can provide guidance, perspective, and support as you grow in your career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My field offers many opportunities for growth, particularly as more women continue to enter and advance in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and integrity are the values that matter most to me, both in my work and personal life. I believe in being truthful, trustworthy, and consistent in how I treat others and approach my responsibilities.
