Marcella Caro

Marcella Caro is a cybersecurity and AI consultant with over 20 years of experience spanning technology, network engineering, and compliance. She began her career on the help desk after developing a passion for programming in C and C++ during college, where she earned a degree in radio, television, and film with a minor in business. Caro advanced through roles at companies including MCI, Verizon, Sprint, where she served as a network design engineer and was the only female on her team designing internet backbone infrastructure. She transitioned into cybersecurity through work with Military Health Systems and TRICARE, later holding positions such as Information Systems Security Officer at GSA. In her current role, she works in governance, risk, and compliance as an IT auditor and assessor for government and corporate clients, including time at Dell, Oracle, and Verizon in cloud security environments. Caro holds certifications as a Microsoft systems security engineer and in IBM AI and Healthcare. She has also taken on leadership and training roles in telecom, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI.
