About Marcella

Marcella Moore has been working in education for about six years. She graduated high school in 2018 and immediately started a tutoring business, offering private tutoring as well as services through schools and churches. After pausing that work during the COVID period, she began her current role as a pre-employment transition coach three years ago. In this position, she partners with imamaction.org to deliver pre-employment transition services to high school students with disabilities or IEPs throughout Northeast Ohio. A typical day involves visiting up to four schools and working with as many as 16 students in small groups, covering topics such as self-advocacy, leadership, workplace readiness, resume writing, job applications, financial literacy, post-secondary transitions, and work-based learning experiences. Marcella recently graduated from a local college and is now pursuing a bachelor's degree in public policy and management at Cleveland State University, with an anticipated completion in 2028. She highlights her involvement with Davuli, a national program focused on community development and youth work, as well as Psi Beta / Phi Beta Kappa and the Mendel Humanities Program, where she serves as a Mendel Ambassador. Her volunteer efforts have included after-school programs and a food pantry at Garfield Memorial Church.
