About Marcha
I have worked in vocational education and taught in the teacher's education at a teacher college in Suriname. I am currently teaching at Penn State while being a full-time international student. I was selected for the Fulbright Hubert Humphrey program in 2021 and spoke at a global conference in Washington D.C.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Perseverance and moving forward no matter what. Situations like being a teenage mother motivated me to keep going for my daughter. I push myself to achieve my goals.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Standing still is not an option. You need to walk forward. If you fall down, stand up. If you cannot stand up, crawl. Find a way to move forward, especially for women.
