Her Interview

Ten minutes with Marcie

01What do you attribute your success to?

Definitely being grounded. You have to have your head on straight to maneuver through lots of different personalities and opinions. You have to have your feet grounded.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Listen more than you speak. Do not react. Really learn to take a breath and listen to the context. Take a step back and watch your emotions. When someone prominent said to take a step back, ingest what is being said, don't overreact.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You have to have your feet planted because a lot's gonna be thrown at you as a woman. Come ready, prepared, believing in yourself. Do not cave even if your back is against the wall. Every day look at yourself in the mirror and if you like what you see then you're pretty damn good.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Mergers, layoffs, AI. See everything in a positive way. There is a place for humans and AI to enhance. Stay in your lane, remain focused, do not engage in negativity, collaborate and work together.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

100% honesty, trust, integrity. Everybody deserves a shot. Live by these values every day.
