About Margaret
Dr. Margaret Finger is a licensed massage therapist and occupational therapist with a private practice in Galveston, Texas. She worked for 36 years as an occupational therapist in settings ranging from neonatal intensive care to geriatrics and school districts before transitioning to massage therapy 8 years ago. After facing increasing vision challenges, she earned her doctorate in occupational therapy from Creighton University, graduating with honors from both high school and college, and she has published articles in occupational therapy and massage magazines. Dr. Finger studied myofascial release under John Barnes and now incorporates client education, exercises, and stretches into her sessions. She holds a massage therapy instructor license and has advocated for domestic violence survivors through presentations and board service on state disability committees and the National Federation of the Blind state board.
