What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to decades of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for helping people. With over 40 years in this field, I’ve built my career around serving others, and after my husband’s stroke in 2021, I transitioned more into consulting to provide even more personalized support. Today, my focus is on building my agency/firm to ensure families have the opportunity to leave a legacy to their future generations.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was from my mom, "you can become whatever you want". I have devoted my life to learning and application; You can always make a difference in someone's life! It’s never too late to go back to school; I finished my master’s degree at age 50. Learning is truly a lifelong process.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: you can do it. Stay committed, keep pushing forward, and never give up on yourself, even when the journey feels challenging.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is finding ways to provide excellent, personalized service to everyone who needs it. I am constantly working to balance growing demand with maintaining the high level of care and dedication my clients deserve.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life center on service, care, and generosity. I am deeply committed to providing excellent, trustworthy service to my clients, while at home I express that same care through cooking and baking for my family—a passion I’ve had since I was nine years old. My faith also plays a central role in my life, guiding my involvement in my church and my regular support of organizations like St. Jude, as giving back is core to who I am.
