Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to decades of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for helping people. With over 30 years in this field, I’ve built my career around serving others, and after my husband’s stroke in 2021, I transitioned more into consulting to provide even more personalized support. Today, I help clients file their taxes and, through my health and life insurance license, guide them in securing coverage so they can feel confident, protected, and at peace.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that you can always make a difference and it’s never too late to go back to school. I took that to heart by earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at age 50, and I’ve carried that mindset of lifelong learning and excellence with me ever since.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: you can do it. Stay committed, keep pushing forward, and never give up on yourself, even when the journey feels challenging.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is finding ways to provide excellent, personalized service to everyone who needs it. I am constantly working to balance growing demand with maintaining the high level of care and dedication my clients deserve.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life center on service, care, and generosity. I am deeply committed to providing excellent, trustworthy service to my clients, while at home I express that same care through cooking and baking for my family—a passion I’ve had since I was nine years old. My faith also plays a central role in my life, guiding my involvement in my church and my regular support of organizations like St. Jude, as giving back is core to who I am.
