Margaret Anne Guilbeau, MBA-PM, CAP
Margaret Anne Guilbeau is a dedicated healthcare professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning healthcare administration, operations, and community-focused initiatives. Her career began in 1995, driven by a deep-rooted passion for caring for others despite early financial barriers that redirected her path from becoming a physician to pursuing medical assistant training. Over the years, she built a strong foundation in patient care, billing, and clinical support, later advancing her expertise through a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and ultimately earning an MBA in Project Management from Capella University in 2026. Her academic and professional journey reflects a commitment to lifelong learning and service-oriented leadership.
Guilbeau’s professional career is marked by extensive experience in healthcare operations and executive support, most notably with UnitedHealthcare Community & State, where she served in executive assistant and project coordination roles supporting C-suite leadership. She played a key role in managing complex organizational functions, including provider relations, appeals and grievances, revenue cycle processes, and clinical policy coordination. Her work contributed to large-scale Medicaid initiatives under the Louisiana Health Plan, impacting hundreds of thousands of members. She also demonstrated leadership in cross-functional projects such as diabetes and hypertension programs, first responder wellness events, and COVID-19 community outreach, where she actively participated in vaccination efforts and resource distribution.
Currently, Guilbeau is transitioning into a compliance and risk management role at St. Thomas Community Health Center, where she focuses on regulatory adherence and supporting underserved populations through accessible care. Her professional philosophy is deeply rooted in compassion, faith, and advocacy—particularly for special-needs individuals, inspired by her personal experience as a mother. Beyond her professional work, she is actively engaged in community service, including assisting families with Medicaid navigation, supporting those facing food insecurity, and volunteering in animal rescue efforts. Her career reflects not only operational excellence but also a genuine commitment to improving lives through healthcare and community engagement.
