About Margarita
Margarita Chiquiza serves as the product strategy head for the Android ecosystem at Google. She has been with the company for four years, including two years in her current role where she focuses on TV and media entertainment while solving complex problems and aligning multiple organizations to deliver unified product visions, such as new subscription products. Previously, she spent two years on go-to-market strategy for TV and five years in private equity as a generalist, executing deals and managing portfolio investments. Chiquiza earned her MBA from Harvard Business School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Columbia and Los Andes University, graduating top of her class cum laude in economics and political science.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Every 3 to 4 years, you need to rethink where you want to be and if the things that I'm doing today are helping me set up for success in the next 5 years, then you need to do something different. Keep reinventing yourself and constantly betting on yourself and learning.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You need to be very clear about what your priorities are, how you want to differentiate yourself, and make sure that you're mindful of the path that you're choosing to get you there.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
At my core, I'm very driven and passionate, and I have a sense of responsibility and ownership. I have a lot of grit.
