Maria Ciccarelli

Maria Ciccarelli is a professional with a diverse background spanning hospitality, events, tour management, travel coordination, accessibility captioning, and pet care services. Born and raised in Switzerland, she completed two years of vocational training in business management and retail followed by two years in hotel management at a luxury brand there. After moving to Los Angeles more than 20 years ago, she worked in airport hotels, briefly as a tour guide, and for a destination management company organizing tours across the West Coast, including a year in Las Vegas. She later transitioned into events management for the pharmaceutical industry before working part-time as a closed captioner for the deaf and hard of hearing. In 2017 she launched her own pet sitting business, which she has grown through word of mouth and online presence to include house sitting, daily dog walks, and hikes, often collaborating with her husband and independent contractors. She holds certification as a Certified Shorthand Reporter after completing an online program at the College of Court Reporting and volunteers at the South LA Animal Shelter.
