01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be focused. Be present. And go do what you need to do. Don't let anything or anybody says to you hold you back from those dreams. Because you are going to find yourself in a position where you're gonna be challenged. And are you going to let go and say, oh, forget it, I give up and throw in the towel? Or are you gonna say, hey, you know what? I'm being challenged, but it's okay. I'm gonna push through. I'm gonna pull through. I'm gonna keep focused. I'm gonna continue to do what I need to do. It happens to all of us. I've gone through that a lot of times, especially when my family is not very supportive of what I do because they feel that I'm wasting my time. But I'm not wasting my time. I'm doing something that is going to be generational. Yeah, I'm making sacrifices right now, absolutely. I know that I could be out there probably working and making millions and millions of dollars, but instead, I'm here managing my finances and my savings so that I'm able to focus on what this project is all about. And that, to me, is much more important. Because what do I want? Do I want riches and wealth for me? Or do I want to be able to say, you know what? I touched that person's life. I changed that person's life because of my commitment. To me, that's worth more than a billion dollars. Because when you can affect somebody's life, that person affects somebody else's life, and it trickles.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me is touching people's lives and making a positive impact. I believe that if I can help someone or influence someone in a positive way, then I'm doing my part. I influence one woman at a time, and when you influence one woman at a time, that influence on that person is going to resonate and triple because of the people that they touch. I do my little piece, and as I place the seeds in those people around me, those seeds germinate and grow and touch other people. To me, it's not about what I do and how I do it, but how I affect people with my daily walk, with what I do daily. I ask myself every day: what did I do today that was influential to someone for a positive change? Sometimes I did good, sometimes I didn't do too good and I have to strive a little bit harder. But that is all part of life. When you instill value into people, those values are going to resonate through others. Touching people's lives is a huge thing, because without that, there is no change. That's worth more than a billion dollars to me, because when you can affect somebody's life, that person affects somebody else's life, and it trickles.
