About Maria
What I love most about my job is human development. I love watching people develop and grow, whether they realize they're doing it or not. I love being a part of their growth and journey in their own accomplishments. It is my favorite part of the work I do. Building teams and helping companies grow has been one of my proudest accomplishments throughout my career. The smartest thing I did while I was still in undergrad was to travel abroad. I studied abroad for a year in Europe, and it opened up the whole world for me. I realized how many people my age at the time had similar goals as I did, and it lit a fire for me to become really competitive professionally. I took a lot of internships while I was in school to help determine what I was good at and what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't apologize for what your goals are. You don't need to be sorry for wanting more or being motivated. Don't apologize for it, just work really hard, and don't compare yourself, and feel that you need to apologize for what you want. I could go down a long path there, but I'll keep it summarized - the key is to own your ambitions without feeling like you need to justify them to anyone.
