Her Interview
Ten minutes with Maria
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, empathy, and purpose. My own experiences as a mother navigating postpartum depression and sleepless nights gave me a deep understanding of what families truly need. That personal journey inspired me to build Mindful Mother, a business rooted in compassion, education, and empowerment. Every step I’ve taken has been guided by my belief that success isn’t just about results, it’s about transforming lives.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to slow down and be in the moment. Early in my career, I often felt the pressure to constantly move fast, juggle multiple priorities, and always look ahead to the next opportunity. While ambition and drive are important, I learned that real growth, clarity, and fulfillment come when you take the time to be fully present, whether that’s in a conversation, a project, or a decision-making process. Slowing down allows me to listen more deeply, think more strategically, and truly appreciate the progress I’m making instead of rushing past it. It has taught me that success isn’t just about speed or volume of accomplishments, but about being intentional, building meaningful connections, and creating impact that lasts.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to be patient and trust the process. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and every step, big or small, contributes to your growth and expertise. Take the time to truly understand what you’re doing instead of just rushing to the next milestone. Learn from each experience, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes because those moments often bring the most valuable lessons. Patience combined with curiosity and persistence will not only help you build confidence but also set a strong foundation for long-term success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now revolve around finding innovative ways to provide greater value for my clients while also navigating the balance between motherhood and entrepreneurship. On one hand, the challenge is staying ahead in a rapidly changing market, adapting to client needs, and continuously delivering solutions that set me apart. On the other hand, the opportunity lies in using creativity, technology, and strong relationships to build services that truly make a difference. At the same time, balancing the responsibilities of being a mother and an entrepreneur has pushed me to develop resilience, prioritize effectively, and embrace flexibility. While it’s not always easy, this dual role has given me a unique perspective and drive that enhances both my personal and professional life.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most are love, resilience, and purpose. Love grounds everything I do — as a mother, coach, and creator. Resilience reminds me that challenges can become our greatest teachers. And purpose keeps me aligned with why I started: to help families rest, heal, and feel seen in their motherhood journey.
