Maria Munteanu

Maria Munteanu serves as an Ultrasound Technologist at HCA Westside Hospital in Plantation, Florida. She has been in the healthcare imaging field for nearly four years and has held her current position for about two years. In her role, she performs breast ultrasounds and other studies such as pelvic, abdominal, vascular, and obstetric imaging for emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and walk-in patients. Munteanu is originally from Romania, where she earned an economics degree and a master's in business management before moving to the United States about 15 years ago. She completed her ultrasound certification through a two-year program at New York Medical Career Training Center. She is a member of SDMS and previously volunteered with the Global Bioethics Initiative in New York. Munteanu has received Employee of the Month recognition and values kindness and empathy when working with patients facing health challenges.
