What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being open to new paths and continuously learning—starting from recruitment, moving into technology and cybersecurity, and building on my management experience from retail. Encouragement from mentors and applying leadership skills across roles have helped me grow, earning recognition from CEOs and fueling my drive to keep advancing.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to find your unique strengths and make your mark—brand yourself in a way that highlights what sets you apart, so companies recognize and seek you out for your distinct value.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the tech field right now is that many companies are top-heavy with leadership, which can lead to inefficiencies and higher employee turnover. Additionally, there’s a lack of true entry-level opportunities, as companies often expect years of experience but don’t provide enough guidance or training for recent graduates starting out.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me are listening and truly hearing others, as well as confidence and leadership—especially as a woman in cybersecurity, I’m passionate about representing and empowering women in a field that’s traditionally male-dominated and showing that we belong and can lead.
