Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being able to make a meaningful impact—whether it was helping my hospital identify undiagnosed STD cases among homeless patients, which raised awareness of rising HIV activity in Clark County and earned me an educator award, or successfully transitioning into nursing education where I now have the privilege of shaping and inspiring future nurses.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering nursing is to pursue your passions and focus on the impact you can make, rather than letting financial rewards be your only motivation.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In both my work and personal life, I value creativity, balance, and connection—whether it’s supporting my family, staying active, or expressing myself through crafting and creating meaningful gifts for others.
