About Marian
Marian Salibmosaad serves as Senior Estimator at EZA Contractor, where she has spent the past 15 years pricing, studying, and bidding construction projects while leading a team of specialized estimators. With more than 20 years in the construction field and a bachelor's degree in structural engineering from a demanding engineering school received 26 years ago, she draws on her technical foundation and PMP certification to coordinate complex bids, including a recent 40 million dollar Newark AirTrain project, and maintain strong client relationships. Marian attributes her professional success to the mentors she has encountered, her faith, and her family, which have strengthened her ability to stay focused, uphold her values, and push her team forward even during challenges. She advises young women entering the industry not to underestimate themselves, noting that her experience as a mother has uniquely equipped her to believe in every team member's potential and foster collaborative success.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I've met so many mentors in my life that helped me to accelerate and go dive deep in my job, definitely my faith, and my family, everything. I strongly believe that everything that's around you makes you stronger and gives you the push to go furthermore than any other one.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
For my job, I think it's more of, focus and details, and like, keep your values all the time, even when things are not going the right way, or not as you expected. You just have to stay with, like, you know, align with your faith, and stay focused on what you're doing, and the reward comes at the end. I believe that. It's not even a cliche, it's just recently happened with me, you have to stick with your values.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do not underestimate yourself. We're really strong. I'm a mom, and I have to push everyone around me. This is what gave me this unique way of dealing with my team to push everyone and to believe in everyone. Everyone has something. No one is perfect. Everyone has something. Definitely is gonna stand out with something different than the others. And this is why we need a team.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
You have to work proud. Like, you have to show the people how proud you are of your knowledge. You have to stay positive. Like, you have to be, like, humble, humble yourself, and be, like, put your heart on what you're doing. Pay enthusiastic.
