Maria Sofia Castro Reinoso is a content creator, marketing professional, and wellness advocate based in West Palm Beach, Florida. She currently works at Compass Group, managing catering and event services for institutions such as Atlantis University. Originally from Venezuela, Maria Sofia holds a master's degree in Financial Management and possesses a diverse marketing background that spans brand management in the automotive, spirits, and food sectors. Before moving to the United States four years ago, she spent a decade in higher education, teaching marketing and management courses and helping to shape the next generation of professionals. Alongside her career, Maria Sofia has built a personal brand centered on content creation and women's empowerment. She conducts workshops on self-love, femininity, wellness, and personal growth, combining her marketing expertise with a passion for helping others gain confidence and live with purpose. She attributes her success to determination, consistency, discipline, and a commitment to high standards, believing firmly that resilience, clarity of purpose, and self-love are the pillars for overcoming challenges and achieving meaningful goals. Maria Sofia’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional life; she has volunteered with the Venezuelan Red Cross, organized community donation drives, and received the "Juntas en Inspiración" (Together in Inspiration) award in 2020 for her dedication to supporting women during the COVID-19 pandemic. 01What do you attribute your success to?
That is a great question. I attribute my personal and professional success to my determination, consistency, discipline, and the high standards I set for myself. Every day, regardless of any setbacks or failures, I know I have to get back up and keep moving forward. For me, clarity is essential: knowing where I want to go, why I want to go there, and how I am going to achieve it. I pursue my goals relentlessly because I know that absolutely no one else can do the work for me—not even my twin sister. Ultimately, it comes down to determination and self-love—having the dedication and the confidence to know that I will always find a way to succeed.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The greatest challenge has been stepping out of my comfort zone and moving to this country. Realizing that living here is completely different from just visiting on vacation has been a major adjustment. However, I also see that this country is full of opportunities where I can continue learning and growing to deliver my very best. More than just seeking grand professional recognition—which is always meaningful and fulfilling—my real daily triumph comes from navigating this environment independently. As a single woman building a life on my own, every day is a challenge, but it drives me to support myself and keep moving forward.
