Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the depth of my experience in education, the joy of watching my students achieve and excel, and the intentional use of hands-on manipulatives that make learning engaging and effective.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always be passionate about what you do.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to remember that challenges are part of the journey—but they don’t define you. With time, patience, and persistence, you will grow into your strengths and master your skills. Most importantly, never underestimate the power of building strong, authentic relationships with your students, because it’s those connections that create lasting impact and true success.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is managing last-minute appointment cancellations, as they disrupt consistency and limit the continuity students need to thrive. However, this also presents an opportunity to strengthen communication with families, set clearer expectations, and create flexible solutions that ensure students continue receiving the academic support they deserve.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are honesty, dignity, and respect. For me, it’s about living a life where my actions align with my words—leading with integrity, treating others with fairness, and fostering relationships built on trust and respect.
