About Marie
Marie Kelly is an experienced staffing, recruiting, and event-services professional based in the Boise metropolitan area. She is the owner of Event Services of Idaho, a business she acquired from her former employer after gaining five years of experience with the company. Since becoming owner in 2021, Kelly has specialized in event cleaning, staffing coordination, and stadium resets for major concerts, football games, and large scale events. With approximately 10 years of event related experience, Kelly oversees crews working behind the scens for events serving tens of thousands of attendees. Her responsibilities include coordinating staff, conducting check-ins, ensuring teams meet operational standards, and managing the demanding cleaning and resetting of stadiums and arenas following major events. Her background also includes experience in human resources, recruiting, employment services, account management, and patient care, giving her a diverse professional foundation centered on people, organization, and reliability. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her 11-year-old daughter, with whom she loves doing crafts and projects, going to the movies, and shopping. She also enjoys caring for her backyard flowers and garden, along with the 11 ducks she keeps at home, including a pond and pool she built with a filtered water system and waterfall. Kelly credits her success to her determination and “get-the-job-done” attitude, while emphasizing honesty, dependability, authenticity, and teamwork as values that guide both her professional and personal life.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having a strong “get the job done” attitude. I push through obstacles, stay focused on my goals, and keep moving forward even when challenges arise. I believe persistence, determination, and a willingness to keep going are key to achieving success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to lead by example, trust but verify, and always be observant. These principles help me make informed decisions and lead with integrity.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Feel the fear and do it anyway. Because stepping outside your comfort zone can open so many doors and create new possibilities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is staffing and finding reliable, dependable employees. At the same time, this creates an opportunity to strengthen recruitment, retention, and team development.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty, dependability, authenticity, and teamwork. I believe in keeping my commitments, being genuine in how I interact with others, and always being willing to contribute as a team player.
