Marilee Turscak

My role is very customer-facing as a product manager. I work with customers every day, helping them deploy our solutions within Microsoft security, specifically on the security and identity team at Microsoft. A typical day involves talking to a lot of customers throughout the day, understanding what they're trying to do, how they're deploying our solutions, and what feedback they have. I work very closely with the feature engineers to share the top feedback and highlight to be the voice of the customer for how they're using their products, what they like to see, and how we can provide the most value to them with the products. We also do a lot of internal projects where we build internal tools to help customers, and we speak at a lot of conferences and do webinars. Last year, I spoke at a conference for the very first time, and that was exciting to me because I previously was a software developer in a very more isolated, behind-my-desk role, so that was a different experience for me, and it kind of ignited an interest in getting out there and speaking.
