Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would say I really love working with people. It's something that just comes naturally to me - helping others. I like to see people growing, being successful where they are, and being happy. That's something very personal to me, it's my motivation. When I see that I can achieve goals, I'm very determined to give myself goals, make sure I'm achieving them, and ensure the environment, the company, and the department are all growing, and that people working there have good relationships with each other. I like to share my knowledge with others - I don't like to retain information, it's the opposite. I think that's helped me grow fast where I am.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I would say to make sure that we are looking beyond where we are - not just the moment you're in, but understanding the whole environment. Try to understand where the mission is, where the values are, where the company is going, and then help others with that understanding. Sometimes when you're leading people, it's not just about goals or daily tasks, it's about how you're helping others, understanding why your role helps others, having the meaning behind that, not just doing tasks daily. I think looking more holistically at the environment to understand where you are and where you want to go - seeing the big picture about things, not just one area - helps you make the whole environment better for everybody.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd say believe in yourself. As women, we always have a lot of things overall that we need to be good at everything we do. I would say just be yourself and respect where you are. Keep your mind open to learn, enjoy where you are now, and believe in your path. It's not about how others are seeing you, it's not about always making sure everybody is happy if you're not happy with yourself. I've been there, helping everybody and almost burning out, but then I realized, wait a minute, how can I do my job in a way that's special for me too? If you can do this when you're young - go on your own path in your career, believe in yourself, keep learning and sharing - but it's not just about what others want you to do, it's about what you really want to do. Go with your passion.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think we need to respect every single person that we work with, and sometimes the challenge is making sure they are understanding their role and the meaning behind it, and how they can help others. Keeping people motivated - I don't say it's a challenge, but it's something we always have to keep going with. We need to make sure everybody is on the same page with information to provide the best service overall. It's more of an opportunity to make sure all employees understand their role.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For me, I would say making sure that what I'm doing is creating an impact on other women and people overall. Leading by example is very important to me, because there are many different types of leadership, and I want to make sure everything works as a team. My leadership style is about being an example for other women - that's something very important to me. If you want to lead and people are not happy with you, they're not going to be happy in their environment. A lot of times you can have a lot of background in many things, but if you cannot be in the shoes of others and walk together, things don't go well. I feel good being with people, achieving their goals, and feeling the value of what I'm bringing in the daily things.
