Her Story

About Marisa

Marisa Boreggio serves as a Regional Director in South Florida, overseeing seven luxury rental communities ranging from 213 to 501 units. She leads a team of more than 50 professionals and is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team development across her portfolio.

Prior to entering the property management industry, Marisa worked in international private banking and reinsurance. Following the events of September 11, 2001, which resulted in the closure of her employer's operations, she transitioned into real estate and later property management. Beginning her career in leasing, she advanced through positions including Assistant Manager, Community Manager, and Senior Community Manager, with extensive experience in lease-ups of newly constructed luxury communities.

Marisa completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business with honors in 2008 while balancing a full-time career. She holds the CAPS (Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor) designation and remains actively engaged in industry organizations and community service initiatives.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Marisa currently serves as Treasurer of her homeowners association and previously served as President of a condominium association. She also volunteers with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.

01What do you attribute your success to?

My Christian faith, the values my parents instilled in me, and perseverance have been the foundation of my success. I believe in never giving up and always handling challenges with integrity and professionalism. Hard work, resilience, and treating people with respect have guided me throughout my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be accountable for your actions, love what you do, and approach every responsibility with passion. When you genuinely care about your work and take ownership of your results, success follows.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Property management offers an excellent and rewarding career path. Don't be afraid of hard work. Stay true to yourself, remain committed to your goals, and maintain a positive attitude. Be willing to learn, seek feedback, and embrace both praise and constructive criticism as opportunities for growth. Most importantly, support your team and the residents you serve.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

People management remains one of the industry's greatest challenges. Every team member and resident brings different experiences, perspectives, and expectations. Successfully leading diverse teams while serving diverse communities requires strong communication, adaptability, empathy, and a thorough understanding of industry regulations and fair housing laws.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, integrity, respect, and ethical behavior are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe in treating others the way I would want to be treated and always striving to do what is right, legal, and honorable.
