About Marisa

Marisa Martin serves as an executive assistant at a local family-owned Indiana bank in Fort Wayne, where she has worked for a little over a year. In this role, she assists the President of Wealth Management, the President of Commercial Banking, and the Chief Technology Officer. Martin brings more than 8 years of experience as an executive assistant, having previously spent 11 to 12 years in the music industry at Sweetwater. She began there part-time in reception while also working as a home cleaner, advanced through roles including sales assistant and sales administration, and reached her goal of becoming an executive assistant. Before entering this career path, she worked in a group home for mentally handicapped adults. A single mother of three, Martin credits her children as a major driving factor in her success, motivating her to provide them with a good life while pursuing her own professional growth. She enjoys the homegrown atmosphere of her current bank and the opportunity to learn a new industry. Martin volunteers on the bank's volunteer days and has a strong interest in food pantries. She advises women entering the field to dive in, learn as much as possible about the executives they assist, think a step ahead, and never give up, while also seeking opportunities for growth and resilience.
