Marisa R. Metcalf

Marisa Metcalf is a registered clinical social worker and therapist providing counseling for individuals and couples. She earned her master's degree in social work and graduated in May, after which she began working as a therapist in a private practice while building her clientele. Prior to this transition, Metcalf worked as a federal probation officer for 20 years following 5 years as a state probation officer, retiring in 2020. In that role, she served as a treatment officer specializing in mental health and substance abuse. While still an officer in 2011, she started her coaching business. After retiring, she pursued studies at massage therapy school to explore connections between emotional health and physical pain or illness before deciding to deepen her practice through social work education.
